Step 10 Select color 142,115,60 and set spray settings to 3,16,20. Spray (continuous) the top edges of a mountain. |
Step 11 Change spray settings to 6,16,20 and thicken the outline by filling in beneath. The goal here is to place down some color to push around. That's right, we're going to bully some color. |
Step 12 Set the pushbrush to 12,12,horizontal and push the color up and down while moving the mouse side to side much like the way I did the sky. A mottled appearance is what I want here also. But I want to push only enough to give me a larger area to grab in the next step. |
Step 13 Change the pushbrush settings to 20,12,horizontal and grab the color with larger strokes. Pay attention to angles as this step creates the "lay" of the mountain. |
Step 14 Keep the same settings and push the light blue from the bottom of the image upward into the mountain. I am highlighting the left side since that's were my light source is. This step also defines the peaks and cleavage. |
Step 15 Select color 153,129,151 and set the sprybrush to 1,16,20. Using long continuous strokes, build up some detail in the shadows. |
Step 16 Select color 21,109,220 and spray (with same settings) highlight on the sunny side of the mountain. Take your time and build up the color and keep your stokes angular so the mountain spreads out from the top to the base. |
Step17 Select color 70,63,124 and spray (using same settings) green around the base of the mountain. |
Step 18 Select color white and set spray to 32,16,16 and dab a mist at the base. In the next posting, I will add a basic water reflection (using ver4.0) and land with trees. |
