Step 19

With the select tool set to rectangle, 0 feather; start lower left (0,204) and stop upper right (300,105). Edit-Copy, Edit-Paste as New Selection, left click.

You can paste it anywhere within the image and you should now see a moving line around the selection.

Step 20

Next: Image-Flip, Image- Deformations- Motion Blur (direction=180, intensity=10), OK.

Grab the selection and position it directly under the mountain, right click.

Instant reflection

You can also, before you right click, adjust the selection's color, hue, intensity, and so on, to achieve the effect you want.

Step 21

Now load PSP 3.12

Select color 154,86,46 and spray 2,20,20 a distant treeline where the mountain and reflection meet. Don't worry about precision at this point.

Step 22

Change the spray settings to 4,20,20 and fill in a ground.

Step 23

Set the push brush to 1,30,round and push up detail from the ground to the tops of trees.

Next I'll add highlights.

Step 24

Select color 71,89,103 and spray 1,16,20 the darker green areas with continuous movements, allowing the brush to linger in a spot here and there and barely brushing other areas. Let some base color show thru.

Step 25

Select color 13,94,103 and spray (with same settings) brownish areas.

You can see a thick, lush foliage begin to appear.

Be sure to spray along the water edge line.

Step26

Select color 50,124,153 and spray (using same settings) a lighter green to indicate spots of sunlight stricking the foliage.

Step 27

Set push brush to 10, 16, horizontal and with short downward strokes, pull the base of the ground into the water.

Then select color 37, 84, 216 and spray 1, 16, 20 a waterline at the shore.

Next posting, I'll add more detail to the water and a foregound.
